Cycling paths / Artistic traces in the city until the end of the 19th century
UGM, Strossmayerjeva 6
Thursday, 2 July 2020, 18:00
meeting point: in front of UGM

guided by: Mojca Štuhec, curator UGM

On this cycling route, we will discover various artistic traces with bicycles around the city, which have been aesthetically complementing Maribor's public space for centuries. In the squares inside the old town, we will see motive signs from the 17th century and the oldest public monuments next to the Cathedral of Janez Krstnik. On the facades of the representative buildings of once important townspeople, on the city palaces and the castle we will see traces of wall paintings, sculptures and built-in relief panels and heraldic signs. In case of rain, the cycling path is canceled. Tour is free of charge.
